The idea of ​​creating a company arose from Mr. José Ma. Flores Ontiveros because there is an abundant plant of maguey cenizo and mezcal producers and he saw a great opportunity to generate business supporting the economy of the region. building a vinata in which he and his daughter with the support of vintners from the indigenous area teach the secrets of making Mezcal to Maricela Flores, until with various tests they manage to establish the type of mezcal that would later be typical of the BODAMTAM brand , convinced that this product is marketable, they seek the support of more partners to create the company and the business development scheme. It was founded on April 16, 2019 by 5 partners. The company was named: Bodantan Sociedad Cooperativa de Responsabilidad Limitada de Capital Variable, with address at Calle Principal S / N, San Francisco del Mezquital, Durango. C.P 34970.

Bodamtam is located 80 km south of the capital of Durango, in the town of San Francisco del Mezquital, Municipality of Mezquital, Durango. Known address the mezquital. Master Mezcalera

Maricela Flores Deras is a Forest Science Engineer graduated from the Juárez University of the State of Durango, later she dedicated herself to greenhouse tomato production. After the knowledge acquired in the care of her greenhouse, she became interested in the world of mezcal, making visits to different vinatas within the municipality, which served as inspiration through different mezcal masters of the region and developed her interest in the art of making mezcal. After testing vinatas and practicing making mezcal, she participated in various courses in the City of Guadalajara as well as visiting different fairs and exhibitions.
In 2020 she is awarded the appointment of mezcal teacher by the mezcal regulatory council.
At the beginning of 2019 she assumes the position of Legal Representative of Bodantan and belongs to a very limited union of Mezcalera Teachers in the State of Durango.
